How it works

Enter the percentage to crop from each side (or click "Detect white margins" to auto-fill). A live preview shows the crop region in red. The output PDF has physically smaller pages — the cropped content is dropped, not just hidden.

Common use cases

  • Removing wide white margins from an ebook so it fills the screen on a tablet or e-reader.
  • Reframing a scanned document to remove the shadow bands from the scanner bed.
  • Cropping a slide export to remove headers or speaker-notes footers before printing.

Privacy

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your PDF is never uploaded to our servers — the file stays on your device from start to finish.

FAQ

Is the cropped content actually removed?

Yes. Unlike tools that only hide content via the CropBox, this rebuilds the page at the smaller size — a viewer that ignores the crop box can't recover the removed pixels.

How does "Detect white margins" work?

The first page is rendered to a canvas, and each edge is scanned inward until a non-white pixel is found. The percentages are set to those values automatically — no more manual guessing.
